Four of Europe’s best-known Drupal companies have announced that they are to merge, in the largest deal of its kind so far in the Drupal community.
The combined group will have offices in 10 countries, over 130 staff, and clients that include some of Europe’s largest organisations. Shareholders signed agreements yesterday in Munich that confirmed the deal.
In a twist of Drupal community humour, it’s being announced as WunderKraut (a four-person company from Germany) acquiring NodeOne, Mearra and Krimson - all employing 30-50 people. The new company is therefore known for now as WunderKraut.
The CEO of the new group will be Vesa Palmu, previously CEO of Mearra, based in Finland.DISCLOSURE: I have a financial interest in this deal. Wunderkraut are also a sponsor of DrupalRadar. As a result I have restricted this article to simply reporting the facts as announced and have not included commentary or opinion.
